Hiring and Costs

To hire one, or both, of our 15 seater Mini Buses please contact the Association Co-ordinator;

He will be able to tell you if a bus is available to hire.

If you can provide your own driver he/she will need registration with the association for insurance purposes. Since all our drivers are volunteers and as you can understand they do prefer their weekends off, then hiring may depend on the availability of a driver, which can make hiring at this time quite difficult. Please bear this in mind when considering your arrangements.

Costs from June 2012

Then mileage costs are;

0 to 100 miles costs charged at £1.20 per mile

101 to 200 miles costs are charged at £0.80p per mile

201 + miles costs are charged at £0.60p per mile

Therefore if the round trip mileage is 250 the costs are;

first 100 = £120.00

2nd 100 = £ 80.00

and the remaining 50 + £30.00

Making a total of £230.00

Invoices are sent out at the beginning of the following month after the hiring and we request that payments should be received within 14 days. Please contact the Association Treasurer, tel; 01487 710995 or e-mail cash@ramseybus.org.uk with any queries. Thank you.


Regretfully we may have to re-introduce a fuel surcharge on all journeys if the Government tax increases go ahead or crude oil prices climb, so that our mileage costs could rise to £1.25 per Mile. This will mean that accounts sent out the month after any fuel cost rise will be calculated at the surcharged rate. We thank you for your support at all times and we assure you we keep our costs under constant review.
